Samurai Vengeance is made by Maciah Thomas, the one-person team behind Billfiti Studios in Southern California.
After the military I was looking for a way to make a living doing something I actually care about. I love tech, and I love working with AI agents, so building a game turned out to be where those two things meet. Samurai Vengeance is the first game I've ever made.
I love martial arts, and I've always been drawn to swords and the craft of making them. The Last Samurai is one of my favorite movies. The history behind the samurai is a big part of why this game exists, and it's why the combat is about timing and reading your opponent rather than just mashing buttons.
I've been working on it for about a year. It runs entirely in a web browser, on a phone or a computer, so anyone can play from a link without installing anything. There were plenty of hard days along the way, and I've written up a few of the worst bugs in the dev notes. But the proudest moment so far is simple. It was the day the game went live and anyone could play it.
When I'm not building, I'm usually training, playing sports or out with friends. I like an active lifestyle. I'm also working on becoming an entrepreneur, and Billfiti Studios is part of that.
More building. More stages and content for the game, and more digital content and designs under the Billfiti Studios name. If you want to follow along, I post on TikTok and Instagram as @billfiti.
Found a bug, have an idea, or just want to tell me what stage you reached? The contact page has every way to reach me. If you're writing about the game or making a video, the press kit has everything in one place.
